Dr. William Dunn

Dr. William Dunn, Professor, Entrepreneur, Author, Speaker

 

Dr. Dunn, Founder and President of The Dunn Foundation, is the author of several books: Books: Broken Wings: Inspirational Words based on true story, Broken Wings II, Inspirational Quotes for your Soul, Broken Wings Special Edition.

Dr. William Dunn was awarded the

2024 Joseph Biden's Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for Service

 

Dunn was featured in the documentary and book titled "Being A Black Man: at the Corner of Progress and Peril" written by the staff of the Washington Post with an introduction by Pulitzer Prize winner Edward P. Jones. Dunn appeared as a radio personality as co-host for WPGC (DC) Talk 1580AM “M.A.C Show.” Dunn was the keynote speaker for the N.A.A.C.P 50th year Awards Ceremony.

Dunn was appointed as Vice-President of Friends of the College Advisory Board for the College of Education and Human Services for Longwood University (2010-2013) and is former Pop Warner Youth Football Commissioner. Dunn is a former professional athlete and military war veteran, who fought in the Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom (OIEF) war.

Dr. Dunn currently is the Principal Owner of Iamdunn Cleaning Solutions, one of the nation's premier commercial cleaning organizations, providing cleaning services to over 55 different facilities since 2009.

 

Dr. Dunn is an Adjunct Professor at Montgomery College, ranked top 10 Best Community College in the US and ranked #1 Community College in Maryland. Maryland has the 3rd best community college system in the country.

Vice-President

Dr. Valarie Dunn, Teacher, Entrepreneur, Life Coach, Author

Valarie, Vice-President, is the author the book: Pieces of a Perfect Man. Valarie, former owner of several My Gym franchises is a Special Education Transition Coordinator for Montgomery County Public Schools and a nationally recognized Health/Life Coach with over 100 clients.

Taylor Dunn

Executive Board Member

Taylor Dunn, Social Worker, Entrepreneur

Taylor, Executive Board Member is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County/UMBC (2018) and currently works as a Social Worker in Montgomery County and is the owner of TaylorMade Photography. 

Taylor Jacobs

Executive Board Member

Taylor Jacobs, Engineer, Life Coach & Founder, Watered Roots Foundation

Taylor, Executive Board Member is a graduate of University of Delaware (2017) and works as an Engineer with Northrop & Gruman. Taylor is the founder of Watered Roots Foundation based in Los Angeles providing free community resources for the homeless and afterschool STEM tutoring for youth. Taylor received NSBE Black Engineer of  the Year Award , 2023. Taylor also is a certified life coach and regional chair of the National Society of Black Engineers/NSBE. 


Tahj Dunn

Executive Board Member

Tahj Dunn, Behavior Specialist, Entrepreneur

Tahj, Executive Board Member is a graduate of Bowie State University (2020) and founder of BT Lifestyle Clothing. Tahj currently works as Behavior Specialist providing children with disabilities daily living support. Tahj is the founder of the "Warming Hearts for the Homeless Initiative."

Tamir Jacobs

Executive Board Member

Tamir Jacobs, Student, Entrepreneur

Tamir, Executive Board Member, graduate of Bowie State University (2023). Voted 2022 Bowie State Ms. Black and Gold. Tamir is the Greek Volunteer Coordinator at Bowie State University.

Taevon Dunn

Executive Board Member

Taevon Dunn, Student, ROTC Officer Candidate

Taevon, Executive Board Member, senior at Morgan State University and ROTC Officer Candidate. Taevon serves in the Maryland National Guard.

Mission

 The Dunn Foundation is volunteer nonprofit organization ran by Dr. William Dunn. The Dunn Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a mission of working together with community partners to provide free community programs, services and support for homelessness, families and communities in need.

 

About the Foundation

The Dunn Foundation has served more than 10,000 adults, children and youth since 2006 through projects such as: Adopt-A-Soldier Project, Annual Free Back-2-School Book Bag Giveaway, Annual Free Turkey Giveaway, Changing One Youth At A Time Summit, Annual Free College Tour, Warming Hearts for the Homeless. The Dunn Foundation's core of support is from partnering with businesses, nonprofit organizations and groups to work together to provide communities with resources of support.
